What to expect at your first visit

  1. Assessment. We start with a short consultation about your health history and concerns.
  2. Treatment. A full treatment takes about an hour. Most people feel a dull, heavy or tingling sensation around the needle rather than pain, and many find it deeply relaxing. Does acupuncture hurt?
  3. Your plan. Acupuncture usually works over a series of visits. We often suggest two treatments a week for the first two weeks, then weekly, and review your progress as we go. How many treatments will I need?

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give at least 24 hours’ notice.
